The only thing we love more than transforming venues from blank canvases into garden-inspired masterpieces are the amazing brides who aren’t afraid to let us do so. Elizabeth and Stephen embraced a bold color palette of pinks contrasted with creamy neutrals and weren’t afraid to mix refined style with a bit of whimsy and wild for their wedding day. Their day perfectly showcases how prioritizing statement pieces makes your floral budget go a long way – creating a memorable experience for both you and your guests.

Falling in love is scary. Planning a wedding is hard. Having your outdoor wedding in South Carolina in July is… brave, to say the least! But with great risk comes great reward and two years later, we are still obsessed with Kylie and Elliot’s sweet, southern, summertime wedding. From bouquets dripping with blackberries and lush campanulas to the dreamiest of southern venues, Wavering Place Plantation, we think the photos will have you questioning why so many brides shy away from the heat of the summer. Turns out… it’s pretty magical.

Ross and Sara’s Vintage-Inspired February Wedding

by Molly Brantley on April 17, 2018

Now for the wedding counterpart to the Arcade Mall Rehearsal Dinner.  It’s not everyday your little brother gets married, so we pulled out all the stops for our owner Sarah’s brother Ross & his fiancé Sara.  With a jewel tone color palette and a generous amount of creative freedom, we knew we had something special on our hands.

Their vintage-inspired February wedding at the Millstone at Adam’s Pond in Columbia, SC, is rife with moody garden florals, velvet details, and draping garlands.

Photographer: Katherine Dalton | Wedding Planner: Jessica Rourke | Baker: Izzabees Confectionaries | Venue: Millstone at Adam’s Pond | Caterer: Southern Way | Rentals: Party Reflections | Photobooth: The Wunderbus | Hand Lettering: Margaret Crabtree

Enjoy.

Renaissance Revival Rehearsal Dinner

by Molly Brantley on January 24, 2018

When our owner, Sarah’s brother Ross got engaged last year, she knew it was time to realize the rehearsal dinner that only dreams are made of.  (Well that, and being the event florist in the family, it was merely the responsible thing to do.)  With family ties to the most beautiful building in Columbia, SC (in our humble opinion), the Arcade Mall on Main Street, it was decided there would be no better place to host a seated dinner for 100, than in the atrium of Columbia’s oldest shopping center, located in the center of the city’s newly revitalized Main Street district.

Still dripping with beautiful, untouched antique details of the building’s early 1900s Renaissance Revival style architecture, the setting itself gave us all the heart eyes.  The goal was to create the banquet hall of all banquet halls – we brought in luxe navy velvet linens, accented with touches of golden yellow (hello, hand dipped beeswax tapers) and vintage brass candle sticks.  We styled the tables with Japanese inspired ikebana floral arrangements in custom gold-dipped vessels, mixed with the more traditional brass budvases and large glass trumpet vases filled with lush cherry foliage to had height and layers.

Incredible vendor team: Jessica Rourke, Southern Way Catering, Margaret Crabtree (place cards), Minted (invitations & menu cards)

So, without getting too carried away on all the magical details of this evening event…we’ll just let the photos do the rest – professional shots captured by Lilianne Victoria with a few more candid ones from the evening courtesy of Sarah’s iPhone.
