We are a boutique floral & event design studio based in the heart of South Carolina. Our designs emphasize nature-inspired garden flowers and seasonal blooms. We take on a limited amount of weddings each year which allows us to offer completely custom designs and personalized service. Most of our weddings are in the Carolinas, but we are available for travel and have flowered weddings from Costa Rica to California.

We were honored to be chosen as one of Martha Stewart Wedding’s Top 62 Floral Designers in the Country. Our work has been featured in the pages of Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine, on the covers of Flower Magazine and Smitten Magazine, and in Weddings Unveiled, Magnolia Rouge, Carolina Bride, Southern Weddings, OnceWed, Style Me Pretty, Grey Likes Weddings, Wedding Chicks, Snippet and Ink, and others.

Sarah Swinson Shell
Owner & Floral Designer

Growing up in her mother’s garden and riding horses in the country, the outdoors have always been a big part of Sarah’s life. She officially started as a florist in the garden city of Savannah, but her fondness for arranging flowers began as a child, making daisy crowns in her backyard.Sarah has a degree in Studio Art from Furman University in Greenville, SC. She took a tiny career detour and spent a brief period as a lawyer, but quickly came to her senses, got back to her roots, and attended FlowerSchool New York, before opening Fern in 2010.

When she’s not in the studio, she can be found doing home projects with her husband, Brad, making clover bouquets with daughter, Florence, and chasing her little ones, James and Everett.

Meagan Jenkins
Floral Designer

Meagan has an affinity for all things nostalgic stemming from being raised on weekly estate sale hunting and The Andy Griffith Show. She grew up in Northern Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University. If not knee deep in flowers, her favorite place to be is around the table with family and friends or on an evening walk with husband, Dustin, and their pup, Boudin (who is named for a Cajun sausage as a nod to their home state). She never tires of You’ve Got Mail, ginger ale, Greek food, and – of course – flowers! Besides designing, Meagan’s favorite part of the process is getting to know each bride and their family.

Molly Brantley
Floral Designer

Molly spent her childhood exploring nature’s goodness, picking wild blackberries and playing hide and seek in the corn fields behind her childhood home. She is thankful for her simple, southern roots and the inspiration it continues to provide.

After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Public Relations, Molly settled into Columbia and her career as a PR Practitioner. Though happy in her career, it didn’t take long sitting behind a desk day in and day out to realize something was missing. So she began her journey into floral design. When she’s not flowering or practicing PR for a local nonprofit, you will find her wandering through antique shops, tending to her relentless sweet tooth with home-baked goods and hanging out with her kitties, Charlie and Opie.
